1. Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber is a Canadian Pop music superstar and singer-songwriter who rose to fame after he was discovered by renowned talent manager Scooter Braun on YouTube. He was then signed on to Usher Raymond popularly known as Usher’s record studio and the rest is history. Born on March 1, 1994, he is one of the youngest superstars in Hollywood today. He released his debut album in November 2009 and immediately shot to the top spot. He is the first artist to have seven songs to chart the Billboard Hot 100 for a debut record. Bieber was won several awards in his early years in the business including Artists of the Year AWards in 2010 and 2012 both from the American Music Awards. He was nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album in the recent Grammy Awards. He has almost 40 million Twitter followers. Forbes magazine also named him as the top three most influential celebrity in the world.

Bieber taught himself to play the guitar and piano in his early life and was fond of singing. He attempted to join a local singing competition in Stratford by singing Ne-yo’s So Sick and was placed second at the time. This provoked him to continue singing and posted videos on YouTube. He was then later discovered by Scooter Braun who was a former marketing executive. He accidentally clicked on Bieber’s video in 2007.

2. Miley Cyrus

Destiny Hope Cyrus or Miley Cyrus was born on November 23, 1992. She is an American actress and singer. She became an established teen superstar with the success of her TV show Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel. She later recorded several songs for the show and later on signed a record deal with Hollywood Records. In 2008, she released her singles 7 Things and Fly On The Wall and went straight to the top of the charts. She also earned a Golden Globe nomination for the soundtrack of the animated movie Bolt. It also featured Cyrus’ topmost successful single to date which is The Climb.  Since her debut, she is one of the most successful Disney artists. She ranked number thirteen on Forbes’ 2010 Top 100 Celebrities. She has attained six top 10 hits by the age of 18.

She grew up on a farm in Franklin, Tennessee. She later attended acting classes at the Armstrong Acting Studio in Toronto and later landed her first-ever role as Kylie in Doc. She later auditioned with superstar Taylor Lautner for the film Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl but she already started with Hannah Montana.

3. Demi Lovato

Born on August 20, 1992, Demetria Devonne Lovato became an instant superstar when she was cast as a member of the film Camp Rock in 2008. At that same year, she signed on to Hollywood Records and released her debut album by September. She, later on, landed a role on her own TV show called Sonny With A Chance. She is also currently a judge of the US version of the X-Factor with Simon Cowell. Skyscraper is one of her more personal songs that were released in her third album Unbroken. She previously opened up for the Jonas Brothers and Avril Lavigne. She was won one MTV Music Video Award and several Teen Choice Awards.

She started playing the piano in her early years and admitted to being bullied at school. She later requested to be home-schooled instead. She went on to campaign for anti-bullying at school and made her mission to speak out against bullying. 

In 2010, she later admitted to having eating disorders and cut her wrists in order to cope with her difficulties in life. She became an emotional entity. Later in 2012, after a brief hiatus from work, she came back and became a judge for the X-Factor which she retained for the 2013 fall season.

4. Selena Gomez

Selena Marie Gomez is an American singer and actress most notable in her role in the television series The Wizards of Waverly Place. She, later on, signed a record deal with Hollywood Records and became the lead singer for the pop group Selena Gomez and the Scene. She, later on, had three hit singles with Naturally, Who Says, and Love You Like A Love Song. After her television show ended, she delved into films with Ramona and Beezus and Monte Carlo. She, later on, voiced a character in the animated film Hotel Transylvania and starred in Spring Breakers.

Born on July 22, 1992, she was brought up in a very religious setting. She was raised as an only child by her working mother. Selena has always been fond of acting and confessed that she took interest in acting after every time she watches her mother prepare in her theater productions.

She, later on, played Gianna on Barney and Friends when she was just seven. She later landed a role in the television series Wizards of Waverly Place after recurring in Hannah Montana, a brief stint in Lizzie McGuire, and a guest star on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

5. Chloe Grace Moretz

An American actress born on February 10, 1997. She has had several films under her belt such as The Amityville Horror, 500 Days of Summer, Kick-Ass, and the award-winning movie Let Me In. She has landed a pivotal role in the remake of the classic 1970s movie Carrie. She was drawn to acting when her older brother was accepted at the Professional Performing Arts School. Her brother would then teach her what he learned at school which prompted her to seek a career in acting.

She later rose to stardom with her stint on The Amityville Horror in which she was recognized with a Young Artist Award nomination. She later appeared as Hit-Girl in the movie Kick-Ass which was a controversial role. She later starred in the remake of a Swedish film Let the Right One In.
